Silver earrings made with Tears of Job (Coix lacryma jobi) collected by us in Madagascar.

Particularly light, approximately 2 grams, the long and oblong hook is in 925/1000 silver, the pendant without the hook measures 16mm, the pendant loop included measures 53mm.

Small botanical jewels of approximately 10mm in diameter, Job's Tears are naturally white, drop-shaped and have a glazed appearance.

From the family of sugar cane, corn, rice or bamboo (poaceae) originating from tropical Asia possibly from Burma, it is an annual herb in temperate climate or perennial in tropical region which can reach 2m, loving ditches or the river banks.

Job's tears were once grown in monasteries in southwest of France and used to make rosaries and sometimes teething necklaces.
