Seed of variable size, approximately 18mm in length and 13mm in diameter, non-viable, dried for at least 7 years, perfect for sanding, polishing, carving or turning, this "marbled vegetable ivory" is veined to the heart.
Adonidia merrillii, formerly Veitchia merrillii or Manila palm, is native to the Philippines. It is commonly called "Christmas Palm" because it fruits at Christmas time in its native country as well as throughout the tropical regions of the northern hemisphere.
