A relatively rare and localized Asian Job's Tear variety (Coix stenocarpa), from the sugar cane, corn, rice or bamboo (poaceae) family, probably native to Burma, it is a perennial grass that can reach 1.50m loving ditches or riversides, this variety also adapts to drier soils.
